A FAIRY TALE MOMENT.

Hey my loves! I hope all of you are doing really well.

As you might have already seen on Instagram, I recently had a small shoot at Raheja Exotica, Madh Island and dug out every thing possible from my Indian wear collection for this one. None of this was sent to me in PR or sourced or paid for.☝️

Lets go a step back into knowing how many years I’ve dressed up in Indian Wear, every single day of my life. I’d say almost 5 years for sure. Wearing everything from Punjabi suits, to Anarkalis, to Indo Western Gowns, and of course Ghaghra-Cholis and Sarees! I can drape a Saree in two minutes! Just Saying.

For this particular post, I decided to share with you my Fairy Tale moment wearing this elegant and graceful Ghaghra-Choli which means a skirt blouse in English! I’d picked this one from Roopkala, Mumbai. (If I am not wrong) And also customised the design of the blouse with slight tweaks here and there. What I loved the minute I saw this piece was, the eye catching color! Neons were in back then, and this is more like a Neon Peach/Orange in real life. (If you know what I mean!) It has some Gold Detailing going on throughout the fabric which actually makes it really heavy to wear. But the detailing is what adds to the entire design and lifts up the neon in the garment. It also has the same rusty silver-gold border that we got customised for the skirt. The skirt has a flare to die for! The minute I twirled, I knew my worries were getting whisked away!

With outfits like this one, I like to make sure my footwear has a little bit of height and gives me gait that is confident of not tripping in the flare of the skirt! And at the same time, something that is equally girly or chic for the lack of a better word. My sandals also had the perfect rusty silver-gold that my dress carried.

About the blouse. the upper half of the blouse is mesh and is transparent all the way up to the collar. It has a high neck pattern, with the same detailing around the neck as well. Which in my opinion is awesome, cause you don’t have to worry about wearing a necklace then!

I am a girl who loves to keep it simple and classy. I personally do not like to go all ham on jewellery and makeup and styling all together. For this look, I was looking at a Classic Fairy Tale- Voguish feel. So I emphasised on just the outfit and the sandals as my number one on the list. On the basis of that, I knew I wanted my makeup to have some peach on the eyes, but a little smokiness going on, with brown eyeshadow and similarly a bronzer to add to the warmth.

The hair had to tell a story. It had to be done, but unkempt. It had to look like it added character to the look as whole. I have naturally straight hair. But for this eye makeup and outfit, I envisioned the hair to look like it had curls, that didn’t have a mind of their own! So I went all in with my 22mm curling iron and gave myself some cascading curls.

Hieee! Hoping this easy hair tutorial helps you for the festive season if you have straight hair like me, and lovvvve curls!! ☺️💖Also, contrary to the last time, I created this look using a hair curling iron this time around. This one is by @ikonic_professional and I picked it up from from Beauty Palace, Andheri. This is costing approx 2.5k for the 25mm barrel. If I am not wrong it’s also available in 19mm, 22mm and 28mm. I have the 19mm one as well, which gives way tighter and noodle like curls. 🍜 😋😂 Also, you can run your fingers through the curls at the end of the entire look, to give a fuller and soft curls look. ☝️ Products used: Wella Thermal Protection Spray @wellaindia (EIMI Range) Loreal Air Fix Spray to set and hold the style. @lorealhair @lorealprofessionel To add a little touch of shine, I used the Wella Glossy Hair Spray towards the end. (EIMI) ☺️ You can also use a little argan oil if you like. ☺️ Hair Straightener (for the bangs): @remington.official. And let me know if you’d wear this look during the Festive Season?? Apart from that, I did wear a combination of Orange and Golden bangles in just one hand, keeping in mind, the other hand would be draped by the Dupatta (stole). Like I said, I am not big on heavy accessories. I didn’t go in for earrings for this look. It was supposed to be Less is More. Kinda, sorta. And a little poetic. So I thought this look would look just perfect without earrings. Makeup was pretty much doing the talking on the face, but we kept the lips a little Chai Latte in color. Not too bold there. It’s gotta be either the eyes or the lips that speak. Today, it was about the eye shadow.

And finally, I did complete the look wearing a small butterfly ring, which I picked up from some random store in Mumbai.
