Like I promised, there’s gonna be a whole line of summer posts for all my readers. I’m obsessed with my skin care regime for the summers and definitely want to share it with you guys.
All of us know how harsh and killing the summers can get . This is one season where I hate the weather , but love all the pampering and the floral prints on myself ! Girls are like that ! Right?
So here’s a part of skin care pampering that I follow:
Cool Cucumber Face Toner
After having a day out in the sun, it’s best to get back home to a cool toner for the skin. I use my Nivea Cleansing Milk and follow it up with some shredded Cucumber strands. Personally I just grate a little piece of cucumber and use my fingers to spread the puree on my face. If you do not like the idea of using your hands, use a cotton swab to dip it in and use it on your face. Why I do not use a cotton swab is , it mostly absorbs a lot of the cucumber juice in it , leaving not much for the face. Cucumber is a cooling agent and will calm down your skin with all the inflamation from staying out in the sun. Just leave this natural cool toner on your face for about 15 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It’ll make you feel so fresh and you will see the fresh glow on your skin once you include this in your daily regime. You could also just juice out a cucumber in a juicer or mixer and just store it in an airtight container for 4-5 days in your refrigerator.
Cool Cucumber Face Mask with Curd
If you wish to follow up your toning bit with a face mask when you are resting it out, then add a teaspoon of curd to the shredded cucumber. Now, use this mix on your face and let it rest for 20-25 minutes until it completely dries out. Wash it off with cold water. I love this home pack cause cucumber and curd both have properties that help remove tan and both really help in calming down my skin from the harsh sun. Add a teaspoon of honey for a good sheen to your face!
Calming Cucumber for dark circles
Cut cucumber in rounds and place them on your eyelids covering the entire area around your eyes and rest it out for 15 minutes. It helps to get rid of puffiness , will really freshen you up and of course works on lightening your dark circles as well!
